Refund Policy

1. Overview

At RuangKemudi, we are committed to providing the best learning experience for seafarers. Due to the nature of our products being Digital Goods and consulting services that are accessible immediately after purchase, we generally DO NOT ACCEPT REFUND REQUESTS once access has been granted or services have commenced.

2. Digital Products & Courses

For purchases of learning materials, video courses, e-books, and question bank access (Marlins Test Prep):

  • All sales are final.
  • Refunds cannot be granted if you change your mind after purchase.
  • Refunds cannot be granted if you "accidently purchased" the product but have already opened/accessed the material.

3. Consulting Services & CV Review

For services involving direct interaction or manual work by our expert team (such as CV Review, Interview Coaching):

  • If you cancel your order before our team begins working on your documents or before the coaching session starts, you are entitled to a full refund (minus any platform/payment gateway administration fees).
  • If the service has been performed or the coaching session has taken place (even partially), no refund can be granted.
  • If you are a no-show for a scheduled coaching session without at least 24 hours prior notice, the session is considered forfeited and no refund will be issued.

4. Exceptions

We understand that technical issues can happen. We will consider refund requests in the following situations (on a case-by-case basis):

  • Double Transaction: You accidentally paid twice for the same item.
  • Fatal Technical Error: The platform experiences a critical failure preventing you from accessing purchased content entirely for more than 72 hours.
  • Significant Discrepancy: The actual content materially differs from the product description.

5. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund based on the "Exceptions" above, please contact us within 7 calendar days of purchase via:

Please include: Proof of Transfer/Invoice, Registered Email, and a detailed reason for the refund request along with evidence (screenshots for technical issues).

6. Refund Processing

If approved, refunds will be returned to the original payment method or via bank transfer within 7-14 business days. Please note that payment gateway fees (if any) may be non-refundable.
